In Mamaroneck, start by choosing a gathering spot where children can settle before the character arrives. A simple greeting at the children's eye level can make the visit feel welcoming without putting anyone on the spot. Plan a short photo moment, then invite guests to wave, answer an easy question or watch from beside a parent. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Mamaroneck venues or local policies. Ask us about the character theme and visit format; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
