Ask the park or Parks and Recreation whether outside entertainers are permitted in the area you have in mind, and whether any amplified sound or setup rules apply. Ask how much open space is available near the play area so the character can greet children comfortably. Confirm the start time and whether the park expects the party to end at a set hour.
Once you have a location, you can decide how long the character should stay and what activities you would like. Options might include a greeting, photos, a short story or games with the children. Treat these as ideas to discuss with the entertainer rather than included services.
