Let the character greet from a comfortable distance. The child can watch, wave or join later without pressure.
Choose a simple spot with good light and keep the camera ready. Ask guests to take turns so the child has space.
Send the date, location, child's preferred theme and party timing. Ask our team to confirm program options, cost and availability.
In Mount Airy, a character visit can feel easy when children know what to expect and have room to warm up. Plan a short greeting first, then offer a wave, a shared activity or a photo with a familiar adult nearby. Before choosing a start time, settle the party location and its permitted hours. Tell our team the child's preferred character theme, approximate guest count and any moments you hope to include; program details, cost and availability need confirmation.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
