Offer a choice of greeting styles and let the child stay with a parent until ready. Participation can be brief or skipped.
Pick one visible photo spot and decide whether the birthday child wants an individual or family picture first.
No. Confirm theme, program details, cost and availability with our team; submitting a request does not reserve or pay for a visit.
A Mountain Dale party can feel organized without turning the character visit into a long show. Set aside a clear place for a greeting and photos, then offer one short activity guests can join or simply watch. The birthday child might choose a solo picture, a family photo or a wave instead. Before settling on an outdoor shelter, check its size and layout for your group. Theme, program details, cost and availability should be confirmed with our team before you plan around them.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
