Have the character greet the group from a little distance first. Let the birthday child choose a wave, a hello, or time to watch.
Wait until the first greeting is over, then invite willing guests into a quick group photo. Keep a parent or organizer nearby to help with turns.
No. They are planning guidance, not verified Narragansett venue policies. Contact the actual venue about access and permission, and confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
For a Narragansett party, make sure the greeting can shift indoors without becoming hurried if weather interrupts an outdoor plan. Before the visit, identify the adult watching conditions and explain the backup plan to other helpers. The character can begin with a friendly wave, while the birthday child chooses whether to come closer; photos can wait until the group is settled. No local facilities or policies are verified here. Confirm venue permission and ask us about theme, program details, costs, and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
