Watching beside a trusted adult is a fine choice. Leave the invitation open for a wave or photo later.
Ask an adult to invite guests in small turns and keep a clear path to the photo spot.
No. Contact us to confirm the requested date and visit details, and check any venue arrangements separately.
In North Kingstown, build the visit around a small, welcoming first step. The character can pause for a wave, then wait while the child decides whether to say hello or pose for a picture. Give guests a chance to join in without making the child the center of attention for too long. Before the gathering, name an adult to coordinate the group and share the child's preferences with the character team. Ask us about the requested theme, program, cost and date; a request is not a booking confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
