A North Chili party can feel more comfortable when the character visit has a clear start and a flexible finish. Welcome the guest, offer children a choice to wave, watch or join, then take a group photo before attention drifts. If you are choosing a state park pavilion, match its layout to your gathering and verify what the operator permits. Local site details are not established by statewide guidance. Ask us about the character theme, program details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
