Offer watching, waving or joining the greeting as choices. Avoid asking a child to pose or perform.
Keep the location clear and ask one adult to guide turns. Let each family take a brief photo at its own pace.
Check the venue's capacity, setup and activity permission, then confirm the visit program, cost and availability with our team.
For a Nottingham gathering, make the character's greeting easy to find and easy to skip. A short group hello can lead into optional photos, while children who need time can stay with a parent nearby. Before the party, decide where guests will gather and who will help organize turns. Venue details matter: rental terms and room capacity can vary by operator, so verify them before shaping the program. Ask us about the character visit; program details, cost and availability need confirmation with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
