Yes. Let the child stay near a trusted adult, wave, or join later. Keep participation an invitation rather than a requirement.
Call up a few children at a time and leave a clear way back to the party. A quick wave can be a photo moment too.
Ask us to confirm theme, program details, cost and availability. Check facility booking and permission separately with the operator.
In Novice, Texas, make the visit easy to follow by choosing one place for the greeting and a separate spot where guests can watch. The birthday child can start with a wave or stay beside a parent, then decide whether to join a photo or simple group moment. Prepare the space before the character arrives so children are not waiting in a tight cluster. Ask us to confirm the character theme, program details, costs and availability before building the party schedule.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
