Let the child watch from a trusted adult's side, then choose whether to wave or have a photo. There is no need to force a close greeting.
Offer a simple shared moment, such as waving together or giving the child birthday wishes. Keep participation optional and the gathering orderly.
Check venue permission and the party layout with the operator. Share the child's preferences with our team, then confirm the character program, cost and availability.
For a party in Nulltown, make the special moment easy to understand: tell the birthday child when the character will arrive and offer a choice between a wave, a photo or simply watching. Keep a small space open for a brief greeting and let guests participate only if they wish. State-level guidance cannot confirm Nulltown venues or policies, so check the exact location with its operator. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, visit details, cost and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Indiana, Indy Parks provides permit guidance for private vendor sales. Indy Parks requires permits for private vendor sales. Tell the park what paid services, rentals or entertainment you propose, and check the applicable approval rather than treating all party activities as ordinary park use. This example applies only to Indianapolis's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
