Ask for a gentle wave or a hello from beside a trusted adult. Let each child choose whether to approach, pose for a photo or simply watch.
Choose a clear greeting spot, keep a parent nearby for photos and participation, and tell guests when the visit will begin. Confirm the venue's permission first.
No. A date or ZIP request is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability.
For a party in Osage Bend, plan the character visit around one calm centerpiece: a friendly hello, a short photo moment, then an activity children can join or watch. Give shy guests room to wave from beside a parent, while eager children can take a turn greeting the character. Before choosing a gathering spot, verify the specific facility and its rules; statewide guidance does not confirm local venues or policies. Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability, and confirm any details before making plans.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
