Let children choose between greeting, waving, joining an activity or watching nearby. Keep photos optional, especially for the birthday child.
Set aside a clear area for photos and tell families where to gather. Share the child's preferred greeting and any boundaries with our team.
No. Check entertainment permission with the operator, then confirm the program, costs and availability with our team.
An Ozona party can feel more welcoming when the character visit has a clear beginning and plenty of room for children to choose how they join. Invite the birthday child to greet the character with a wave or a brief family photo, then offer guests a simple shared activity. Keep a nearby spot open for anyone who wants a break. Ask us about the requested theme and possible visit ideas; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team. For a state park gathering, identify the exact property and ask its operator about group facilities, reservations and event arrangements before settling the plan.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
