Plan a brief greeting, a few photos and one optional group activity. Leave time for children to watch or take a break.
Ask about the specific area, access, seating, event procedures and permission for hired entertainment.
No. Ask our team to confirm the character program, cost and availability before you set the party schedule.
For a Penrose party, shape the character's arrival around the space you have actually confirmed. A small greeting circle can lead into a few posed photos, then an optional group activity for children who want to join. Before choosing games or an entrance, check the site's surface, seating and access with its operator. Keep a quieter spot available for anyone who needs a break. Ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability rather than assuming they are included.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
