Make watching a valid first step. The child can wave from a trusted adult's side, join a group photo later, or skip photos entirely.
Offer a shared greeting or invite guests to ask one simple question. Let children pass without being singled out.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, visit ideas, costs and availability before making plans.
For a Richmond, Utah, celebration, plan the character's arrival around the child's pace rather than a big reveal. A calm wave, a brief hello beside a parent, and an optional photo can make a simple start. Guests may take turns sharing a greeting or enjoy the moment from their seats. Ask us about the requested character and possible visit activities, including costs and availability. City venues and their policies are unverified, so check any proposed location with its operator before planning around it.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Utah State Parks publishes a specific reservation season and advance-booking process for group sites at Fred Hayes State Park at Starvation. Check the exact group site and current conditions before fixing your date. This is one state-managed property example: group-site availability does not establish eligibility for a birthday gathering or permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
