Let the character greet the birthday child first, then invite others to wave or join an activity. Give children space to approach only when they feel ready.
They can watch, wave or take part in the group activity instead. Make photos optional and avoid holding up the celebration for individual turns.
Ask about the exact facility, reservation process, operating conditions and hired-entertainment permission. Statewide information does not confirm local rules or availability.
For River Ranch, begin with the setting: decide where children can gather comfortably and where the character can greet the birthday child without blocking the flow of the party. A wave, brief hello and optional photo give guests an easy way to participate. Follow with one simple shared activity, while allowing children to watch from a trusted adult's side. Prepare a clear arrival point and a flexible schedule. Ask us about the requested character theme; our team must confirm the program, costs and availability.

Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
