Let the birthday child stay beside a trusted adult and choose a wave or hello. Watching quietly is also fine.
Ask one adult to guide a simple queue for questions or photos. Keep each turn brief and let children opt out.
No. A space request is not a confirmed reservation, and a date or ZIP request is not a character booking or payment. Confirm each arrangement separately.
For a party in Ruffs Dale, Pennsylvania, keep the character moment easy to follow: the birthday child gets the first greeting, and guests join after a brief pause. Offer a wave, a short conversation or a photo as choices rather than expectations. Before sharing a date with guests, distinguish a request from a confirmed space reservation. Ask us to confirm the requested character program, costs and availability separately.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
