Have the character greet the group first, then offer each child a choice to approach, wave or stay with an adult.
Confirm the exact space, access arrangements and whether hired entertainment is permitted. Do not assume a request secures the date.
It is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm visit details, cost and availability before making plans around it.
In Ruscombmanor Township, make the setting and schedule clear before planning the character's special moment. A brief hello followed by a group photo can give children time to warm up; invite guests to wave or watch instead of requiring participation. Ask us about the character theme you have in mind, and confirm program details, cost and availability. If you are considering a state park pavilion, check its current reservation status and ask the operator about access and entertainment permission. City facilities are unverified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
