In Russia, New York, make the character visit a clear highlight without turning the party into a packed schedule. Set aside a calm greeting where the child can wave, talk, or watch beside a trusted adult. Follow with a few posed photos, then invite guests to join a short, simple activity if the child is comfortable. Before choosing an outdoor gathering spot, check the exact facility's size, layout, booking conditions, and rules for hired entertainment. Ask us about the requested character theme, program details, cost, and availability; a ZIP code or date is not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
