In Scranton, North Carolina, make the facility schedule part of the visit plan before you choose an arrival time. Check the hours and permitted use for the exact room or shelter, then build in a calm greeting and enough time for photos without rushing children. Participation can stay simple: wave, listen to a short hello or join a picture by choice. Share the requested character theme, address, date, age range and group size with us. Confirm the program, cost and availability with our team, and ask the facility operator separately about hired entertainment and activity permission.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
