Let the birthday child choose whether to wave, talk or pose. A caregiver can stay nearby, and watching is a valid choice.
Set a clear photo spot and invite guests in manageable groups. Keep the route to and from the character open.
No. Check facility terms with its operator, and ask us separately about the character visit's availability, cost and program details.
A comfortable layout matters when planning a character visit in Sharon Springs. If you are considering a state park pavilion, first check the exact facility's capacity, layout and booking conditions; statewide information does not confirm a local venue or date. Keep the character moment simple: a hello, an optional photo and one activity guests can watch or join. Tell the organizer where caregivers can stand with younger children and leave an uncluttered approach to the greeting area. Ask us about the requested theme, program choices, cost and availability, and confirm permission with the facility operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
