Let them observe, wave or join later. Participation works best as an invitation, not a requirement.
Pick one adult to organize turns and use a clear photo spot. Offer a group picture so children can choose whether to take an individual photo.
Ask the facility operator about the room and activity permission. Ask our team to confirm the character program, cost and availability; a request is not a booking.
For a Sligo, Missouri gathering, make the visit easy to follow: welcome the character, invite children to join a short activity and leave room for photos. The guest of honor can choose a wave, a conversation or simply watching from a familiar adult's side. A small schedule and a designated photo helper can keep the moment calm. Before choosing a state park space, check its reservation requirements and ask us about the requested theme; confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
