Invite guests to take turns waving or posing from a little distance. Let the child decide whether to approach, take a photo or simply watch.

No. A date and ZIP code are requests, not a reservation or payment. Confirm the theme-provider program, costs and availability.
In Smithville Flats, build the party around a calm arrival and a photo moment the child can choose to join. A wave from across the room can be a fine first greeting; offer a closer hello only if the child wants one. Before settling on an outdoor gathering, consider group size and a true indoor backup. New York's statewide rental information can guide questions, but it does not verify facilities or policies in Smithville Flats. Tell our team the date, ZIP code, character theme and setting you have in mind. Visit activities, costs and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
