Offer a wave from beside a parent, a distant hello or simply watching. Let the child choose whether to approach; do not make a hug or solo photo part of the plan.
Choose a spot with enough room for the child, character and a few family members. Keep phones ready and allow a quiet pause between individual pictures and a group photo.
Share the date, location, requested character theme, child's age and party schedule. Ask our team to confirm program details, cost and availability; also check venue permission separately.
In Staley, make the character visit one calm highlight within the celebration rather than the whole schedule. A short welcome, a wave or high-five chosen by the child, and a few family photos can give the birthday child room to warm up. Invite guests to watch first or join a simple group moment when ready. Before contacting our team, note the child's age, preferred character theme, party date, address, guest count and any space limits. Ask us about the possible program, cost and availability; none is confirmed until discussed.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
