Offer the birthday child a wave, a brief hello, or time to observe before joining.
Pick a spot in advance and invite guests forward in small groups or turns.
Not necessarily. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and confirm service details with our team.
In Stayton, Oregon, plan the visit so the birthday child has a special moment without needing to perform. A wave or short hello can lead into a photo with a caregiver, followed by optional guest greetings. Choose a clear gathering point and let the organizer know how the group will take turns. If the celebration is outdoors, make a backup plan before the day. Ask us to confirm the requested costume theme, program details, costs, and availability, and verify any venue permission separately.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
