For a gathering in Stoney Beach, Maryland, plan a relaxed introduction that gives the birthday child time to watch before joining. A parent can invite guests to wave from their seats, then bring a few people at a time into a photo. Keep the activity short enough that children can step away whenever they need. Check the exact space and its operator rather than assuming rules from elsewhere apply. Ask us about the theme; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
