Let the child stay near a trusted adult and choose whether to wave, approach, or join a photo later.
Confirm the specific group space, reservation process, operating conditions, and whether hired entertainment is allowed.
No. Ask the operator for the exact property's rules and confirm the character visit separately with our team.
For a Tierra Verde party, give the birthday child a clear choice about the first hello: a wave from their place, a greeting beside a parent, or a photo when ready. The rest of the group can join a short shared activity, while children who prefer to watch remain included. These are practical parent suggestions, not guaranteed program details. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, visit plan, cost, and availability before organizing around a character appearance.

Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
