For a Turon gathering, keep the character visit predictable: let the birthday child know where the greeting will happen, leave a caregiver close by, and offer a wave before inviting a photo. Guests can join a simple activity or watch from the side. Outdoor plans need a firm decision process, not a last-minute guess. The statewide checks below are planning suggestions only and do not verify local venues, services or policies in Turon.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
