Yes. Invite a wave or a group picture, and let each child choose whether to come closer.
Keep the greeting brief and give the character a clear place to meet the children. Have a familiar adult nearby.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program, cost and availability before making final plans.
For a Tyro, Mississippi gathering, plan the visit around the child's comfort rather than a big entrance. A quiet greeting followed by a short photo moment gives children time to decide how they want to participate. Guests might offer a wave or join a simple group pose, while anyone unsure can watch. Ask us about the requested costume theme and possible program; confirm details, cost and availability directly. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Tyro venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
