Start with a wave or a short hello. Let children choose whether to approach, take a photo or keep watching.
Ask the operator about the exact space, reservation conditions, layout and permission for hired entertainment. Open and enclosed spaces may have different processes.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested character theme, program details, costs and availability before planning the timeline.
For a Union, Missouri party, make the character's arrival a gentle transition rather than a surprise that every child must greet at once. The guest of honor might begin with a wave beside a parent, then choose a conversation or photo. Guests can take turns or watch from their seats. Ask us about the requested theme, visit format, costs and availability, and confirm the space's rules with its operator. State guidance can inform facility planning, but it does not verify Union venues or local policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
