For a family gathering in Upper Fairmount, make the character's arrival easy to understand and easy to join. A host can give children a friendly heads-up, then let them greet the guest together or watch from beside a caregiver. Keep photos optional and leave space for families to move through at their own pace. If you are considering a rented room, confirm its capacity and setup directly with the operator. Tell our team your preferred date, timing and theme; program details, costs and availability require confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
