Choose a time that fits the facility's confirmed use hours and leaves a little flexibility around food or naps. Confirm the proposed timing with us before treating it as set.
Keep the first greeting at a comfortable distance. The child can watch, wave or join a photo later, with no need to speak or touch the character.
Share the date, ZIP code, age and requested theme. Ask us to confirm the program, costs and availability; an inquiry does not reserve a visit.
For a Watauga gathering, build the character visit around the child's pace and the facility's permitted schedule. A brief entrance followed by a greeting or photo gives children a clear moment without taking over the party. Leave room for guests to join in by choice. Ask us about a visit plan that suits your group; program details, costs and availability must be confirmed. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Watauga venues or policies.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
