Yes. Tell guests they may watch, wave or take part, so no child is put on the spot.
Choose a clear meeting point and have an adult available to guide the character to the group.
No. Ask the exact property operator about facilities, reservation terms and permission for hired entertainment.
For a Wellborn birthday, keep the first character moment easy to join and just as easy to decline. The birthday child might greet the character from a caregiver's side, then choose a photo or a short activity. Invite guests to participate in turns instead of gathering everyone around at once. Before the visit, decide who will welcome the character and where the group can regroup if plans shift. Tell our team your preferred flow and ask us to confirm the program, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
