The cited camping guidance does not grant birthday or entertainer permission. Check with the site operator.
A child may prefer to watch the character arrive before taking part, so build that pause into a Wood Stock party plan. The birthday child can choose a wave, a quick photo with a familiar adult nearby or a turn in a simple group activity. Ask us about a requested costume theme and possible visit program; details, costs and availability need confirmation. Keep the organizer's run sheet brief, with an arrival contact, photo moment and a clear finish time to help the visit feel manageable.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
