Have the character greet the group first, then invite the child to approach with a trusted adult if they choose. Ask guests to give them room.
Let guests watch, wave or prepare a short birthday wish. A simple photo turn can follow, with no requirement that every child pose.
Check any site's capacity and practical facilities with its operator. Confirm character-visit details, cost and availability with our team before setting expectations.
For Worcester, Vermont, make the child's comfort the center of the visit rather than expecting an immediate performance. A character can greet the group softly, let the birthday child choose a wave or conversation, then join a brief photo or shared moment. Prepare a place where guests can gather without crowding the child. State guidance here concerns specific remote camping sites and general weather planning, not birthday venues or local permissions. Ask us about the visit; confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
