Let them watch, wave or remain with a trusted adult. Participation can be a choice, not an expectation.
Have one adult welcome the character and another gather guests for a photo if needed. Keep the plan brief and flexible.
Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability. Confirm venue rules, access and any entertainment permission with its operator.
For a Zilwaukee gathering, make the character visit easy to follow: choose one adult to welcome the character and let the birthday child decide how close to stand. A wave, a brief greeting or watching beside a parent are all options. Leave a little room for photos and guest participation without requiring either. The supplied facts are statewide planning guidance, not verified Zilwaukee venues or policies. Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability, and confirm venue arrangements directly.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
