Explain the visit in simple terms and offer choices: watch, wave or join a photo. Let the child change their mind.
Invite a group greeting or a few brief birthday wishes, rather than asking every guest to approach at once.
No. Confirm the facility's conditions and entertainment rules with its operator. Ask us about program details, cost and availability.
In Trenton, make the character's arrival easy to understand: tell the birthday child who is coming, where to meet and that joining in is their choice. A quiet hello can lead to a photo, then a group wave or short birthday wish for guests who want to participate. Before settling on a gathering space, the organizer should confirm what the exact facility allows and what it provides. Ask us about the requested character's program, cost and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
