Savannah parents booking a costumed character for a kids' birthday often start by choosing a theme and then working out where the party will happen. City community centers are one possible location, but each one has its own reservation process, so it helps to know who to contact before settling on a date.
For questions about City of Savannah community centers, contact the Recreation and Leisure Services office. Before you commit to a date, ask whether the center you have in mind is available at your preferred time and whether the reservation paperwork is ready to start.

Once you have a center in mind, consider asking whether outside entertainers such as a costumed character are allowed in the room, what the room setup looks like, how long you can use the space, and whether you can bring decorations or food. You can also ask which activities such as games or a story time are workable in that room, and whether a longer visit suits the space.
