Let the child choose between a wave, a short hello, or watching beside a parent. Give them time before inviting a photo.
Offer a group photo or a familiar song, and make either activity optional. Keep the guest group small around the birthday child.
Choose a responsible adult before the party and identify the indoor destination with the venue. Confirm any character-visit plans separately with our team.
In Tyson, Mississippi, a weather plan can help keep an outdoor character visit calm and predictable. Choose one adult to watch conditions and guide a move indoors if needed, so the birthday child is not caught in a rushed transition. For the visit itself, offer a relaxed hello, a photo choice, and a small activity guests may join or simply watch. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, costs, and availability. Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue.
