Let them stay with a trusted adult and watch. Offer a wave or photo only as choices, and give them time to decide without prompting from the group.
Invite everyone to a brief group greeting or have a helper guide small groups to a photo spot. Keep a clear route and let children opt out.
No. Ask the park about the specific space and hired entertainment permission. Separately, ask our team to confirm the requested theme, program, costs, and availability.
Avera families can keep a character visit comfortable by planning for a small, clear meeting area and a little room to watch. The birthday child might welcome the character with a wave, choose a photo, or take time before joining. Guests can participate with a group hello instead of waiting for individual turns. If you are considering a Georgia state park gathering space, verify whether it is enclosed or open and what the operator permits. Ask our team to confirm program details, costs, and availability for your requested theme.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
