Tell families that children can greet the character, wave, or watch. Share the planned start time and where the group will gather.
Ask one adult to organize turns and another to take photos. Keep the guest of honor's photo first, then invite others without rushing.
Program details vary and must be confirmed. Ask us about possible activities, costs, and availability before making your party plan.
For a Beaver River party, give the character visit a clear focal point so young guests know where to gather and the guest of honor can take things at their own pace. Begin with a wave or short hello, pause for individual photos, then invite guests to join a simple shared activity if one is confirmed. Keep the schedule flexible and tell the character provider about any preferred name or greeting. New York guidance offers statewide planning checks, not verified Beaver River facilities or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
