Let them choose a brief greeting or photo with a trusted adult nearby, then invite the other children to join if they wish.
Choose a clear, easy-to-reach spot and decide who will gather children so the rest of the party can continue calmly.
Confirm program details, cost and availability with our team. A request does not reserve a date or include payment.
At a Biltmore Lake celebration, give the child of honor a small, personal moment before opening the visit to the group: a wave, a greeting with a caregiver nearby, or a chosen photo. Then invite guests to participate at their own pace. If you are using a North Carolina State Parks facility, confirm the exact space's hours and conditions; that statewide guidance does not establish local venue rules. Ask us about the character theme, and confirm the program, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
