Start with the character saying hello to everyone from a little distance. Let the birthday child decide whether to approach or simply watch.
Invite children to choose between a group photo and sharing a birthday wish. Make either choice optional.
Ask the facility about its rules and access, then confirm the entertainer's program, cost and availability.
For a party in Cox, Georgia, plan the character's greeting around the child's comfort rather than a big reveal. A familiar adult can introduce the guest, while children choose to wave, watch or come closer for a photo. Set aside a simple spot for pictures and keep the rest of the visit flexible. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Cox venues or policies. Ask us about a character visit, and confirm its program details, cost and availability with our team.

Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
