Share the planned timing, greeting location and any access considerations. Confirm what the requested character visit may include before you set guest expectations.
No. A requested date or ZIP code is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm availability, program details and cost.
In Hickory, Kentucky, start with the child's preferred pace: a wave from beside a parent can be the whole greeting, or the child can step closer for a photo when ready. Ask us about a simple visit structure that leaves room for guests to participate without putting anyone on the spot. If an overnight stay is involved, keep lodging arrangements separate from party permission. Confirm program details, cost and availability with our team. Advice here is statewide or national planning guidance, not verified city venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
