Start with a hello and one simple activity, such as a birthday wish. Let the child choose whether to join or observe.
Set a photo spot and invite small groups forward, with a caregiver close to the birthday child.
Check the exact room or shelter, access and permission for hired entertainment. Confirm character program details, costs and availability separately.
For a Mendes party, give the birthday child a small, comfortable role in the character visit. They might choose a greeting, hold a favorite toy for the photo or simply watch before joining. Keep the visit area easy to reach and make space for guests to participate in short turns. If you are considering a park gathering, check the actual facility rather than relying on a general listing. Statewide planning suggestions do not verify Mendes venues or policies; confirm permissions and program arrangements directly.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
