Set a simple schedule with time for greeting, a brief shared activity and photos, while staying within the facility's confirmed use period.
Yes. A wave or quiet observation is a reasonable choice; invite children to join only when they feel comfortable.
Check facility hours and entertainment permission with the operator, then ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability.
In Mount Olive, build the visit schedule around the facility's permitted hours, not the other way around. A short greeting, a low-pressure group activity and a planned photo moment can fit into a manageable window. Let children wave or watch before inviting them to participate. Check timing and use conditions with the exact location, then ask us to confirm character-theme details, cost and availability. These are parent planning suggestions, not guaranteed activities. City facilities and policies have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
