Let the character say hello to everyone first. Each child can wave, approach with an adult, or watch from a comfortable spot.
Choose one place and invite interested children in a small group. An adult can help organize the photo while other guests continue their activity.
Check venue permission and access with the operator. Ask us about the requested theme, visit program, costs, and availability.
In Pulaski, Wisconsin, treat any state-managed shelter listing as a starting point, not proof that a particular local space fits your party. Check the actual site, then plan a character visit that leaves room for children to participate at their own pace. A friendly group greeting can lead into optional questions and a photo. Before guests arrive, decide who will welcome them and where the group will gather. Ask us about the requested theme; program details, costs, and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wisconsin DNR describes the reservable picnic shelter at its MacKenzie Center and its booking route through the State Parks reservation system. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the actual shelter, nearby facilities and conditions with the operator. Confirm permission for a hired character visit; the listing does not establish rules for every Wisconsin park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
