Offer a wave, a quiet hello or simply watching. Let the child stay beside a trusted adult and decline any interaction.
Use a clear spot and invite guests one at a time or in small family groups. Keep a parent nearby to support the child.
Ask our team about the proposed program, cost and availability. A date request is not a confirmed reservation.
In Ridgeville, Ohio, a thoughtful character visit can give the birthday child time to warm up before the whole group joins. Start with a wave or a brief hello, then offer a photo with a parent close by. Guests can take turns in a simple activity or watch from the side. Before the party, assign an adult to handle weather decisions if the gathering is outdoors. Share your preferences when you ask us; our team must confirm program details, cost and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
