After the birthday child's hello, invite guests to wave together or gather for an optional group photo.
Confirm the exact layout, access, reservation process and whether hired entertainment is permitted.
No. Confirm the theme, program details, costs and availability with us before treating plans as set.
For a Bear Creek gathering, think about how the birthday child will meet the character and how the group will gather nearby. A wave or short hello can come before photos, with guests invited to join rather than called on one by one. Ask us about the character theme and possible program; details, costs and availability must be confirmed. If considering a state park pavilion, check its current layout and rules with the operator, since a listed example does not establish local arrangements.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Alabama State Parks lists picnic tables and other features for the pavilion at Roland Cooper State Park. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the current layout, access and reservation process for the exact space you are considering. Describe any hired entertainer to the operator and ask whether that activity is permitted before booking.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
