Start with the City of Montgomery rentable spaces if you want a city setting, or with the county pavilions if you prefer an outdoor park. Ask each venue what it allows before you choose a date.
Call the Montgomery County parks department number for the park you want. Ask about availability, timing, and any rules for outside entertainers.
Outdoor games are a good option for many party themes. Confirm with the venue that the space suits the activities you have in mind.
Consider your guest count, the season, and the character's activities. Indoor rooms give more control over noise and weather, while outdoor spaces offer room to move.
Montgomery has a mix of city and county spaces that families often rent for birthday parties. Choosing a character is the first step, but the venue questions decide how smoothly the visit runs. Start with the place you have in mind, then match the theme to the setting.
The City of Montgomery reports that it has rentable event spaces in both indoor and outdoor settings, so it is worth asking which type fits your guest count and the character's activity style. Outdoor spaces suit a character who likes games and movement, while indoor rooms usually work better for storytelling and singalongs. Ask the venue directly what it allows for outside entertainers before you commit to a date.

Montgomery County lists pavilions at Elton N. Dean, Sr. Park and Snowdoun Park, and Flatwood Park and Community Center. Booking is handled by phone with the parks department, so call the number for the specific park you want and ask about the pavilion's size, the time slot, and whether a character visit is allowed. Confirm whether you need a separate room or the pavilion alone for the activities you plan.

A character can lead a parade-style entrance, a short story, a dance break, or a simple photo moment, and each of these works best when the space matches the activity. Think about where guests will sit, where the character can enter without crossing the cake table, and how much room you need for games. Share your child's favorite story or theme so the visit can be shaped around it.
