Let them watch from beside a parent, then offer a wave or brief hello if they choose. There is no need to rush.

No. Contact the operator of the exact property about event eligibility, permission, and availability for hired entertainment.
For a Big Torch Key celebration, give the birthday child room to meet the character at their own pace. A friendly wave can be the whole greeting, while other children may choose a short chat or a photo. Ask one adult to keep the group organized so the child has a calm moment. Ask us about the theme; confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team.

Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
